Howard Smith as Keith Platt

The King Of Common Sense

Keith Platt is a character that is brought to life by Howard "H" Smith, vocalist with late eighties Thrash Metal band Acid Reign. He brings over 20 years of stage craft in comedy and music to the party, and it is a party when Keith gets into full swing. This is Stand Up, Dressed Up.

Beloved by audiences up and down the country Keith Platt is the man with a plan, a Yorkshire sized plan. Each gag laden performance is a lifetime of work crammed into a frenetic set that always climax’s with a song. Equally at home in front of a cultured comedy audience or a raging music festival crowd Keith's home is the stage, his food is laughter and his drink is Theakstons Old Peculiar.

Keith in his own words: "I was widowed seven year ago when my dear Sandra got hit by a shopping trolley in Morrison’s car park. It knocked her under a delivery lorry and that was that. My view of life changed that day and I decided to get out onto the comedy circuit and "tell it like it is" as our American friends are fond of saying. So sit back and hear how the world should be run, everyone one is entitled to their opinion, but I am always right.”
