Jane’s sharp, intelligent observational comedy is charming, but with a real twist in the tail.  Her jaundiced views on love, life and relationships strike a chord with audiences of all ages.

Now in her mid-forties, Jane has been gigging since late 2005 and now regularly performs 10, 15 and paid 20 minute spots all over the country including frequent gigs for Mirth Control.  She is also an experienced compere and is a regular host of Electric Mouse Cambridge, the monthly comedy night she runs with Rob Coleman.

Jane has two Edinburgh Fringe runs under her belt and in 2009 she is taking her first one-woman show to the Fringe.  Murder for Profit and Pleasure will explore her strange double life as a comedian and a successful crime novelist - she written three psychological thrillers, all published by Random House.

Before turning to comedy and writing, Jane worked in commercial radio for twenty years - firstly as a journalist and then as head of programming for a group of local stations, presenting music shows and attempting to train DJs to be witty.

"Jane Hill demonstrates a presence and confidence on stage that rivals many established comics and has well crafted and constructed gags that are both funny and also personal, yet she also has an ability to react and interact with the audience 'off script' if required which makes her versatile too - recommended." - Geoff Whiting, Mirth Control

"Genuine belly-laughs." - Three Weeks

"Hilarious.” – Inside Comedy

"It’s not often that a short thesis on a Germanic pre-Nazi Modern Art movement gets a belly laugh but Jane managed just tha.t" - HaHa Comedy
