Omar Hamdi

Only 2 years since first picking up a mic, Omar Hamdi has established himself as the breakthrough act of the moment. He’s a regular at the top comedy clubs in the country, headlines independent clubs, has supported the lovely Ava Vidal on tour and is currently appearing at some of the biggest theatres in the country supporting the very lovely Russell Kane on tour.
He’s starting to be a regular face on telly and a regular voice on radio, too, as well as doing a mini-tour of his new show getting ready to do 45 minutes at the Edinburgh Fringe this year.
Omar is quite hyper (too much Woolworths pick ‘n’ mix as a child). He likes newspapers, falafel and shisha. And sheep (He’s Welsh-Egyptian).
Just what the comedy scene has been crying out for…seductive charm and commanding presence; a Welsh-Egyptian funnyman who’s going places with a mixture of streetwise observational humour and shrewd insights’
