Tom Ward

Thomas Ward is a stand-up comedian. He has been performing since March 2011. You will find him on the London circuit where he relays his search for meaning through an assortment of expensive jokes dressed in cheap clothing. His carefully crafted tales take you to familiar worlds with elaborate and surreal twists.

He won The Cavendish Summer Cup in 2013, and was also a finalist at The Squawker Awards 2013 and The Max Turner Prize 2013.

In up coming months you will find him at: Comic Boom at Komedia, Upstairs at The King's Head, Angel Comedy on a Saturday, Crack Comedy, New Act Night at The Comedy Cafe, Crying Duck and The Goodfather.

“There’s a lot to enjoy in Thomas Ward’s eclectic and quirky set, which always keeps you guessing where he’s going. Fine writing, evoking silly images and ideas, combines with a distinctive look and a deliberate, well-spoken delivery to make him memorable, even if he’s hard to pin down. Plenty of lines stand out for their originality, showing a creative brain that should prove an asset to comedy”. (Steve Bennett, Chortle)

"Like the mayor of a small town misusing funds…Tom Ward is a hell of a lot of fun...Tom Ward is like being inside a mad spoof silly surreal theme park where daft chaps chase after you to sell you carpets cigars and those wee hand held fans." (Phil Kay)
